If there’s two things that are evidently true about me it’s that for one, I love taking pictures as much as I love to read. What’s the second you ask? Um hello I thought it was obvious… Books.😂 So it’s no surprise that in most of my pictures, if you haven’t noticed already, I love to incorporate something that reminds me of the characters.📚📷
Lost to You (The Regret Series, #0.5) by A.L. Jackson.
I loved reading in both POVs.📖 Elizabeth and Christian couldn’t be anymore different. The way they were brought up, how they looked at life and their goals for the future. I can see why Elizabeth had her reservations about him. Christian is someone who could easily break her heart and take her soul.
But their connection was UNDENIABLE.🔥
THEY FELT IT.
I FELT IT.
WE ALL FELT IT.
I really liked that they became friends first. Seeing them bond and form a geniune friendship was everything. When they were together there was this familiarity about it. It just felt right. Every time they studied, hung out, talked, tried something new (like ramen 😂), or when they stole glances at each other, I couldn’t help but think how these two were it for me. I was either SQUEALING or GIGGLING like a total fangirl clutching my kindle against my chest.🤗
CHRISTIAN WAS SO CARING AND PROTECTIVE. I admired that he kept his word and took things slow. The little things he did warmed my heart and won me over. When he told her she was his best friend that was so sweet.🍬 And I’m glad they both valued their friendship as much as each other. OMG HOW ADORABLE WAS ELIZABETH?! Freaking out and gushing over snow? Aw. I loved that Christian was so memorized by this and that shes able to show him the beauty in things as simple as snow. I do find snow fascinating since it doesn’t snow here in California. I’m mean sure I’ve been to the mountains but never during winter. I would love nothing more than to catch my first snowflake or make my first snow angel.😂
Their first kiss was AMAZING! It was exactly what I’ve been waiting for. HEAVEN HELP ME!😍 The moment couldn’t have been any more perfect… until it was ruined.
COT DAMMIT ELIZABETH! ( Ive been waiting to use that.)😏
We all know guys aren’t always the best at expressing their feelings. I think being young, the concept of love can be a very SCARY cliff to jump off of. I think for someone like Christian it’s even harder to recognize or even admit.
What really hit me in the face was when their friendship was on the rocks. I cherished the friendship as much as they did. So when I cried, it wasnt because what I read was sad, it was more like I experienced every VOID, every HEARTACHE, every LOSS. The possibility of them even contemplating a life without each other brought out those monstrous tears.😖
ARGH his father was UNBELIEVEABLE. MY JAW HIT THE FLOOR SO FAST. OMG!😮 The NERVE of that guy I swear. I was INSULTED, PISSED, SHOCKED, YOU NAME IT.😤 YES CHRISTIAN! THATS MY BOY. IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THAT AND IT WAS SATISFYING.😈 CHRISTIAN IS TURNING INTO THE MAN I KNEW HE COULD BE.😘
My insides melted when Elizabeth and Christian were dancing in the snow together. It’s like when they are together, everything in the universe makes sense. I couldn’t have asked for well written ending. It was done so tastefully and it left you feeling like all of this was worth it. (Sigh)😍 They had to take the good with the bad, it helped them sort out their feelings and showed them exactly what they wanted.❤️
🔅Fun fact: I actually didn’t know what the Rockefeller center was until I looked it up and now I see why Elizabeth was so in love with it. Its really beautiful.🙀
