The Music Book Tag

I just wanted to thank BooksInNeed for tagging in The Music Book Tag, created by none other than the awesome Bookchanted.

Basically every book Melanie Marks has written. She has a way of making you become hopelessly addicted. I read almost all of her books before my kindle unlimited ended. She writes stories and male characters in a way that make you melt and want more. I like that her books also cover real life situations and how the characters deal with it. I just love her writing style.📚

I know it says book, not books, but here are my favorite reads:

• His Kiss by Melanie Marks (Ally & Griffin)

You know because of the His Kiss book I can’t eat peanut butter sandwiches anymore. I cringe at the thought of it.😝

I’m going to say The Ghost Bird Series by C.L. Stone. Only because, I forgot which book in particular, but one of the characters voices his frustrations about Sangs life constantly being in danger. I, on the other hand, want the drama to keep on coming.🕊

Teague from the An Unfortunate Fairy Tale Series by Chanda Hahn.😍 He was always lurking in the shadows being mysterious and malicious. He claimed to hate Mina yet his actions spoke otherwise.😏 Learning his backstory and why he’s the way he is, made the story come full circle. I was blown away.🙀 Teague stole my heart and I gladly let him. I shipped and will forever ship Mina and Teague.🌹

A honorable mention: Brody Carmichael, my first book boyfriend and my first heartbreak.😭

I do have to catch up on the series but Leif and Pagan from Existence. From what I’ve read, I always thought his feelings were real and that he truly cared. Not because she was “promised” to him. Maybe I’m wrong… maybe he didn’t have genuine feelings or her best interests at heart… I don’t know… regardless that didn’t stop me from liking his character and rooting for him too.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely ship Dank and Pagan together. They are my otp. I mean just look at that cover.❤️🙀

Speaking of book covers, UGH I loved Leifs.😭

Immediately my mind went to The Ghost Bird and The Scarab Beetle Series. Loved Loved Loved!!! I wasn’t sure how to feel about a spin off series to The Ghost Bird books. If I was going to feel interested or more importantly connected to a new set of characters. If I would find that same magic that made The Ghost Bird so special in The Scarab Beetle and I did. Book after book, the story kept getting better. I found myself really dedicating my time and money into reading the whole series. I love Academy Boys.🐞

Sorry but another series I freakin LOVED was the Young Annabelle Series.😘 Oh James, I love to hate you. There were times I paused reading and shook my head like “OMG… he did not just do that.”

I feel like books mean differently to each of us. So what might be meaningful to me, may not be for you. It’s hard to choose because they all effect us in their own way. We take away something from reading even the smallest thing you know. The book that hurt me in more ways then one was Silence by Natasha Preston. It was my first serious book. Definitely heartbreaking.😖

To be honest I wasn’t expecting much from books in general. So for this one, I have to give it to the first book I read, Unenchanted by Chanda Hahn. She’s the reason why I fell in love with reading. She changed my life with her books. So that’s why An Unfortunate Fairy Tale Series will forever be special to me.💘

One song that I associate the series with is Steady 1234 by Vice featuring Jasmine Thompson and Skizzy Mars. It was the first song that popped into my playlist after I finished the books.🎧

The Vigilante’s Lover Vol 1 by Annie Winters and Tony West. To clarify, I did end up liking the book and giving it five stars.🌟 I just felt slightly disappointed that the story wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. I guess I’m just salty about the letters.💌 And that’s all I’ll say about that.😗
